In this set review edition we will look at a Tyco set that was based on a NASCAR oval and pit stop situation. The track itself ran nice after it was cleaned up. The cars needed a bit of ‘hop-up’ due to a tendency to fly off the track. Level 8 traction magnets and Super Tires were installed.
One thing that would have made the set a better value would have been for Tyco to have included banked turn supports. None were specified with the set. As such the cars tend to hammer the track joints apart going into the turns. If you figure out some sort of support method, the cars run better and the track stays stable.
All in all it was probably an interesting set when new.
